CONTEMPORARY REGIONAL ART

Untitled (Trophy)

Chester Rose

Oil on linen, 1989
AIHA Collection: Purchase, Mohawk-Hudson Regional Exhibition

The hyperrealism of this meticulously rendered interior with exterior window views of the Hudson Valley near Kingston is reminiscent of 15th century Flemish paintings.

Chester Rose received an A.A. in Photographic Illustration from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1976 and a B.F.A. in Painting and Art History from the State University of New York College at New Paltz in 1988. He has exhibited his work in New York, California and Brazil and is represented in both public and private collections.
