Hedrick Brewing Co., Inc.; Albany, New York;
Tin and cardboard, c. 1960;
AIHA Collection: Gift of Anna Cipollo
Hedrick's was known locally as the political beer, because the Hedrick Brewing Company was owned by Albany political boss Dan O'Connell and his family. It was reputedly Albany's most popular beer after the repeal of Prohibition in 1932, being sold in practically every bar and store.
