2:00 pm: Dance Performance by STOP (Student Theatre Outreach Program) a group of Albany High School students led by Broadway-director Alan Weeks.

2:30 pm: Lecture: Malcolm, Martin and the American Social Conscience Social and economic issues facing our nation has prompted Rochester Institute of Technology Professor Vincent F. A. Golphin to ask Americans to pay deep attention to the writings of Malcolm X and the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. In this lecture he will address their writings and their continuing relevance to our world today.

This program is made possible through Speakers in the Humanities, a program of the New York Council for the Humanities.

Lecture & Book Signing: Dreaming in Mohawk: Exploring the World of Sir William Johnson and the Iroquois through Dream Archaeology with Robert Moss,

After publishing a series of gripping and closely researched novels centered on the life of Johnson and the family of his Mohawk consort, known to history as Molly Brant, Robert Moss has now published Dreamways of the Iroquois, which is at once a personal odyssey, a tribute to the wisdom of the First Peoples of the Northeast, a scholarly study of early Iroquoian shamanic practice and an invitation to reclaim the ancient dreamways as an act of “cultural soul retrieval.”
