Lecture: Albany's Crossroads: Indians and Empires at the Albany Congress of 1754 with Timothy Shannon, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Gettysburg College, Gettysburg PA

Shannon will discuss the conflicting motives that brought delegates from the British colonies and Iroquois nations together, the methods they used to conduct their business and the unique result they produced: the Albany Plan of Union, a blueprint for American federation that preceded the Revolution by twenty years.
