The
Collections Processing Intern arranges and describes collections
of family papers and business/organization records. He/she
proofreads, edits, and creates finding aids and databases to
provide intellectual access to materials. He/she applies
preservation measures to collection materials; activities may
include removing paper clips and staples; rehousing materials into
archival quality sleeves, folders, boxes, etc.; and interleaving
scrapbooks.
Requirements:
Prefer
upper-level undergraduate, graduate student, or recent college
graduate interested in a career in archives, special libraries,
history, art history, public history, etc. Previous experience
working in an archive a plus. Ability to work independently with
minimal supervision.

Spring, and Summer
Hours:
A minimum of
8 hours per week with flexible scheduling between the hours of
Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
