Summary of Position:

The General Museum Intern will work in 7 different departments of the museum, including: Director’s Office, External Relations (Development & PR/Marketing), Library, Education, Visitor Services, the Museum Shop and Curatorial. The student chosen for this internship will have a chance to see how each department functions and how departments work together to make the museum run.

 Job Duties:

·        Completing specific projects for each department during rotation

·        Shadowing specific staff members under each department’s discretion.

·        Attend weekly intern program meeting sessions

Position availability:

Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer

Hours:

A minimum of 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling
