Rental Program Internship


Summary of Position:

The Albany Institute of History & Art rents original works of art by Capital Region artists to local businesses to enhance their work environments. The Rental Program intern’s primary responsibility is to prepare the Art Rental Program for the art selections and installations, as well as to help Administration transition of all Rental Program documents to electronic documents.  

Duties Include:

·        Inventory of all on-site & off-site art work

·        Transition all paper documentation onto an Access database

·        Contact artists regarding art selection

·        Contact businesses regarding selection process

·        Work with Development Office to promote Rental Program to new clients

·        Help with installation and de-installation of artwork at client sites

·        Create monthly statements and analyze against program budget

·        Prepare invoices

·        Create policy and procedures for management, clients, and artists

·        Basic office work as otherwise assigned

·        Attend weekly intern program meeting sessions
