Special Events Volunteer


Special Events

The Special Events office is responsible for developing and coordinating the administrative and programmatic aspects of AIHA initiated events, exhibition opening receptions and public programs.  Planning, project design, volunteer recruitment and enlistment of event sponsors and in-kind donations are all on-going duties of the special events office.

  • Administrative support

Administrative support volunteers help with the planning and logistics for events.  Duties include making follow-up phone calls, creating flyers, maintaining excel spreadsheets, sending out mailings, preparing information packets, and soliciting in-kind donations.

Time commitment: Flexible hours, Monday-Friday; ideally 1-2 hours per week.

  • Event staff

Event staff volunteers work at events both at AIHA and off premises.  Duties include assisting in event set-up, registering and greeting guests, answering questions and assisting with clean-up.

Time commitment: Flexible hours, Monday-Friday; ideally 1-2 hours per week.
