Visitor Services

  • Audience research

Audience research volunteers conduct visitor surveys and interviews, answer questions and welcome visitors to the museum.

Time commitment: Flexible hours, Wednesday-Sunday during Museum hours; should commit to a regular schedule of volunteer hours.

  • Gallery attendants

Gallery attendants welcome and direct visitors throughout the galleries.  Duties include answering general museum related questions.

Time commitment: Flexible hours, Wednesday-Sunday during Museum hours; should commit to a regular schedule of volunteer hours.

  • Receptionist

Receptionist volunteers are responsible for fielding questions and phone calls.  Duties include answering all incoming telephone calls, greeting visitors, responding to inquiries and requests for information, and keeping a daily log of scheduled and unscheduled visits.  Receptionists should be detail and people oriented and possess excellent customer service skills.  Receptionist or administrative experience is a plus.

Time commitment: Mondays and/or Tuesdays, 4 or 8 hour shifts available.  Training, including security procedures, required.
