CORPORATE BREAKFAST - APRIL 2005

The original Supreme Mary Wilson speaks at the Albany Institute's April, 2005 Corporate Breakfast.  Ms. Wilson was in town to see REFLECTIONS: The Mary Wilson Supreme Legacy Collection at the Albany Institute of History & Art.

On April 27, 2005, more than 60 business and community leaders attended the Supreme Year Ahead at the Albany Institute of History & Art corporate breakfast at AIHA,featuring special guest speaker, the original Supreme Mary Wilson.

Keynote address was made by the chair of Albany Institute's Board of Trustees and Executive in Residence at Union College, Wallace Altes.  Mr. Altes discussed the upcoming exhibitions and events at the Albany Institute of History & Art.

Bob Curley, Chairman of Citizens Bank Operations in New York, made the introduction for Mary Wilson, who spoke about her rise from the Brewster Housing Projects in Detroit to Superstardom.  Ms. Wilson spoke passionately about the importance of education and the roles that museums hold in furthering the education of school children.  After her speech, Ms. Wilson performed a medley of her greatest hits to the audience and was available to sign autographs in the galleries.

AIHA’s corporate breakfasts offer business and community leaders an opportunity to learn more about the museum in a networking-friendly and relaxed atmosphere.  The breakfasts also provide the museum a highly visible way to recognize corporate partners for their support.

Mary Wilson introduces herself to Al Desalvo of M & T Bank.
