APRIL THIRD THURSDAY PROGRAM

ALBANY, NY— Stay in town – or come downtown – for evening gallery hours, wonderful finds in the Museum Shop, and special programs during the Albany Institute of History & Art’s monthly Third Thursday Program. 

The April Third Thursday program will be held on April 19th at 6:00 pm and feature a gallery talk of FULL STEAM AHEAD: Robert Fulton and the age of Steamboats with Research Curator Ruth Greene-McNally. 

FULL STEAM AHEAD: Robert Fulton and the Age of Steamboats will commemorate the 200th anniversary of Robert Fulton’s first steamboat voyage of the Clermont in 1807 from New York City to Albany, with images, artifacts and the bellowing sounds of steamboats from a by-gone era.

Third Thursday Programs take place from 5:30-7:30PM and are FREE to the public. The gallery talk of FULL STEAM AHEAD will begin at 6:00PM sharp.  Reservations for the program are not required but are requested and can be made by calling 518-463-5502 ext. 469.
