ON DISPLAY AT THE ALBANY INSTITUTE OF HISTORY & ART

ALBANY, NY—The Albany Institute of History & Art is pleased to announce that the ART FROM THE HEART exhibition will be on display in the Rice House Gallery through April 1, 2007.

ART FROM THE HEART, sponsored by the Foundation for Quality Care and New York State Health Facilities Association, is an art program that celebrates the individuality, vibrant spirit and creative abilities of artists residing in nursing homes throughout New York State.

Nearly 70 pieces of artwork were submitted to an independent panel of jurors, with the 22 final works being featured in the exhibition.  13 of the 22 final pieces are featured in the 2007 ART FROM THE HEART wall calendar.

The art professionals who served as the independent panel of jurors included, Christopher Sanford, New York State Museum, Wren Panzella, University at Albany Art Museum, Ruth Hall Daly, Viewpoint Gallery at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital and Kristen Schweigard, Albany Institute of History & Art.

On Friday, March 16, Andrea Honore, Art Administrator, Corporate Art Program with Johnson and Johnson, will be appearing at the Albany Institute of History & Art to tour the exhibition, as well as meet with some of the artists in the exhibition.
