ALBANY INSTITUTE OF HISTORY & ARTANNOUNCES NOVEMBER BOOK & AUTHOR PROGRAMALBANY, NY—On Saturday, November 3, at 1:00 pm, the Albany Institute of History & Art will present a lecture and book signing with photographer Rick Tuers. Tuers will present discuss his new book, Lighthouses of New York. Tuers, a coastal engineer for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, has taken photographs of more than 150 lighthouses in North America. Lighthouses of New York is a complete guide to New York State’s lighthouses, from Montauk Point to Buffalo, symbols of strength and protectors of mariners for over 200 years. Albany Institute Museum Shop Book & Author Programs feature free lectures on recent books of special regional interest. Each talk is followed by a book signing and books are available for purchase in the Museum Shop. The Albany Institute of History & Art is located at 125 Washington Avenue in downtown Albany, one block from the New York State Capitol.
