AIHA's Festival of Trees Celebrates 17th Year

The Women’s Council of the Albany Institute of History & Art is proud to announce the theme of this year’s Festival of Trees, Celebrating Tradition.  The Festival will kick-off this year with a Gala party on Tuesday, November 21 and will continue through Sunday, November 26, 2000 (closed on Thanksgiving Day). The festival will be held at the Bulmer Technology Center on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY due to the museum’s continuing renovation and construction project.

The Festival will once again include all the favorites people have come to enjoy over the many years.  Forest of dazzling trees, Gingerbread Lane, Doll House, the Great Train display, visits and photos with Santa Claus, the Greens Boutique for your decorating needs, Museum Gift Shop, and refreshments. This year the Festival will include the Opportunity Tree that will be raffled-off to the lucky winner, and Kwanzaa and Hanukkah displays have been added. Arts related activities will be available for the kids and the entertainment schedule will have something for everyone.

Admission to the Festival is $8 for Adults, $7 for AIHA members, $4 for children 5-12 years old and FREE for children 4 and under.  Hours are Wednesday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Friday and Saturday from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm.  The Festival will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.  Wednesday, November 22 has been designated as Group Sales Day.  Groups 10 or more can purchase advance or day of tickets to the Festival for $5 per person.

The Festival of Trees is a fund-raiser organized by the Women’s Council of the Albany Institute, a volunteer group that sponsors a variety of fundraising and community-relations events to benefit the Albany Institute.  For additional information, to make a reservation for the Gala or Group Sales Day, please call (518) 463-4478
