| New Trustees Join AIHA Board Seven new trustees have been elected to the board of the Albany Institute of History & Art. Doris Peters Fisher is a partner in James Street Associates (real estate) and 1843 Central Avenue Associates (real estate and antiques). Ms. Fisher is also a community volunteer for WMHT, Albany Academy for Girls, St. Peters Auxiliary and Foundation, Community Hospice and Foundation, St. Margarets Center for Girls, St. Peters Church, SPAC and Albany Rural Cemetery. Alan Goldberg, President of First Albany Corp. returns to trusteeship after serving one year as an associate. The immediate past chairman of the AIHA Board, Mr. Goldberg currently is board chairman for the Center for Economic Growth and also serves on the boards of Mechanical Technology Inc., Albany Symphony Orchestra, University Heights Association, Watervliet Arsenal Business & Technology Partnership Board, and Satcon Technology Corporation. Jane Hawn is a community volunteer who also currently serves on the Board at the Hyde Collection in Glens Falls, and the Glens Falls Hospital Foundation. She has also been a board member at the Chapman Historical Museum, the Lake George Opera, the Queensbury School and the College Council at SUNY Plattsburgh. Denise Gorman is a community volunteer and has served on the board of St. Margarets Center for Children, been involved with the Opera Committee at SPAC, the New York State Museums "New York in Bloom", the Muscular Dystrophy Society, and the Head Start Program at First Church. She also served as Committee Chair for the Albany Institutes Museum Ball for the last two years. Jeffrey M. Levy, President of the Capital District Division of M&T Bank. Mr. Levy joined M&T Bank in 1985 and has held various positions within the banks corporate banking division. Currently Mr. Levy is a member of the board of Associate Trustees at Siena College, holds board positions on the Center for Economic Growth, the Capital District YMCA, and the Empire State Certified Development Corporation and is Treasurer of United Cerebral Palsy Associates of New York State. Mr. Levy holds a bachelors degree in business economics from SUNY Oneonta and an MBA in finance from Farleigh Dickinson University. Meg Picotte MacClarence is a graduate of Trinity College and is currently working on her MBA at the University at Albany. She is currently a trustee and Director for the Equinox Foundation and is involved with the 15 LOVE/CRYTF program. Ms. MacClarence currently serves as an associate trustee at Siena College, a trustee at the Albany Academy for Girls and is a member of the University at Albany Foundation. Christine Standish has held the position of Director of Albany International since 1997. She also served as a director of the J. S. Standish Corp. since 1988. Ms. Standish was employed as a graphic designer for Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology. | |||||||||
