| AIHA Participates in New York Times Arts&Leisure Weekend
The Albany Institute of History & Art is part of a nationwide celebration of the 150th anniversary of The New York Times. For the “Arts&Leisure Weekend,” September 14-16, the Albany Institute is one of the cultural institutions around the country and around the globe to make a special offer to Times readers. Participants in the Arts&Leisure weekend offer free admission, reduced prices—in many cases, tickets have been reduced to $18.51 for the founding of the paper in 1851—and other packages created especially for Times readers. The Albany Institute is offering free admission to Arts&Leisure pass holders and a guest and 10% discount in the Museum Shop. The Arts&Leisure pass will be published in the program guide in the Sunday, September 9 issue of The New York Times Magazine and in the program guide included in The Times on Wednesday, September 12. Passes can also be printed from The New York Times website, www.nytimes.com/artsandleisureweekend. Arts&Leisure Weekend participants range from The American Museum of Natural History in New York to the DuSable Museum of African American History in Chicago to the Museum of Tolerance
in Los Angeles. Internationally,
participants include The British Museum, The Royal Galleries, the Louvre
and Musee D’Orsay. There
are performing arts events from coast to coast representing Broadway,
off-Broadway, opera and dance. A
