Travel Back in Time with February Programs for KIDS AT AIHA

 

Bring the whole family to the Albany Institute of History & Art for fun and unique activities that celebrate history & art.

 

Sunday, February 10, 2-4pm; FREE with admission

Museum Explorers Day --“Valentines Day in 1900”

 An interactive learning experience intended for adults and children to share that highlights images and ideas in the exhibition, CIRCA 1900: From the Genteel Tradition to the Jazz Age.

 

  • Visit the new Museum Explorers Gallery.

  • Enjoy gallery activities in CIRCA 1900 for children of all ages.

  • Create your own turn of the century valentine.

 

 

Enjoy one of the WINTER BREAK SPECIALS -- an interactive learning experience that includes a gallery activity and art making intended for adults and children to share.  $2 material fee plus admission; reservations are required; please call the Museum Education Department at 463.4478. This program is made possible by funds from Hudson River Bank and Trust Co.

 

 Wednesday, February 20; 10am-12noon:  Time Machine Explore the eras represented in the galleries and then construct your own time machine

 

Thursday, February 21; 10am-12noon: Erie Canal Day

Enjoy songs and stories of life along the Erie Canal

 

Friday, February 22; 10am – 12noon:  A Day in 1900

Learn more about life in 1900 through the exhibition, Circa 1900, and make objects from the 1900s.
