11:00am–11:45am Enrich your experience of our current exhibitions through an insightful docent-led tour of the galleries. Docent tours are an excellent way to learn more about the artworks and objects on display, in addition to the stories they tell. Interaction and questions are encouraged and visitors of all ages are welcome. The tour is free with museum admission, no registration required. Please meet in the museum atrium main level near the admission desk before the tour begins.

12:00pm–4:00pm Art for All is free with museum admission every Saturday from 12–4PM. All ages are welcome to participate. Enjoy your visit to the museum and explore your artistic side with a hands-on project inspired by the museum's exhibitions and collections. Inspired by the flowers in A Life in Bloom: The Floral Paintings of Julia McEntee Dillon, participants will create mixed-media wildflower seed packets. Taking inspiration from decorative seed packets from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, and from Julia McEntee Dillon’s floral paintings, participants will use a variety of materials to customize their packets. At the end of the program, participants will receive wildflower seeds, to be kept safe in their packets until they are ready to plant them in the ground!   Julia McEntee Dillon (1834–1919), Pink Peonies and Roses, pastel on paper laid on canvas, 1885, Ulster County Historical Society.

We'll review the basics of these conditions, services of the Alzheimer's Association and how we can expand the reach of local programs and services. Bring a friend and share your thoughts about how the Alzheimer's Association can help more people in your community. Held on select Mondays, sessions occur when the museum is closed to the public—minimizing distractions and providing a relaxing environment. Sessions are led by trained educators who facilitate open-ended discussions about the Albany Institute's exhibitions and collections. This program is based upon Meet Me at the MoMA, the Museum of Modern Art’s Alzheimer’s project. Songs by Heart with Opera SaratogaSongs by Heart is an engagement-centered program developed for Memory Care Communities where a professional level singer leads an interactive sing-along. The singers use therapeutic techniques such as mirroring, verbal and gestural promptings, making direct eye contact, and holding hands with residents throughout the program. Singers encourage residents to join in the singing, clapping, and dancing, as well as engage in conversations centered around the musical selections. AllWays DanceAshley Evola is the founder and lead instructor of the AllWays Dance program, a movement-based experience designed to make dance and wellness accessible to indviduals of all abilities. With a background in Communication Sciences and Disorders and extensive experience working with seniors and adults with disabilities, Ashley brings a thoughtful, inclusive approach to every class she creates. AllWays Dance combines chair-based movement, gentle yoga, breathwork, and engaging music into a fully seated, 45-minute program that supports cognitive engagement, physical mobility, and emotional well-being. Through her work, Ashley is passionate about creating meaningful, joyful movement that foster connection, confidence, and an improved quality of life of all participants.
