Joseph Bruchac is a traditional storyteller and writer whose work often reflects his Abenaki Indian ancestry and his lifelong interest in American Indian history and culture. During his recent lecture—First Voices of the River: American Indian Stories and Traditions of the Hudson—, he spoke, sang, played authentic Native American musical instruments and also signed copies of his many books for adults and children.
