FAMILY PROGRAM—SUMMER ART WORKSHOP: Contemporary Landscape Painting

Throughout history, artists have captivated audiences with vivid recollections of places familiar and new. This workshop combines drawing from life, gallery art works, and your own imagination to create compelling and harmonious landscape paintings. Registration is required.

Richard Rand

Dove/O'Keeffe: Circles of Influence
6:00 pm

Richard Rand, the Senior Curator of the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute, explores Georgia O'Keeffe's life and friendship with modernist painter Arthur Dove, and his role in the development of her early abstractionist paintings. The exhibition Dove/O'Keeffe: Circles of Influence is on view at The Clark through September 7, 2009. The Albany Institute lecture is free and open to the public. Museum admission is not included.
