Please join us as we design
our upcoming exhibit:
Hudson River
Panorama:
400 Years of History,
Art, and Culture
On
Friday, October 24, and
Saturday October 25, the
Albany Institute will
conduct formative evaluation
sessions to help us plan the
design of our exciting new
exhibit,
Hudson River Panorama,
which will be on
display from Feb. 7, 2009,
to Jan. 4, 2010.
Part of the state-wide
Quadricentennial observation
of Henry Hudson's historic
1609 discovery, this exhibit
will commemorate the
remarkable narrative of the
Hudson River and the people
who have used, and lived
along, its renowned
watercourse. Encompassing
five major themes:
Transportation; Trade,
Commerce, and Industry;
Culture and Symbol; Natural
History and Environment; and
Community and Settlement,
the exhibition will feature
more than 200 objects from
the Albany Institute's
collection, which
distinguish the Hudson's
fundamental role in the
formation of the United
States, its national
identity, and its future.
Sessions will be held at the
Albany Institute of History
& Art, 125 Washington
Avenue, Albany.
Sessions will be limited to
one hour or less, and are
designed to elicit your
ideas, opinions, and
feedback about this exciting
new exhibit.
