Lectures, Gallery Talks &cetera

The Albany Institute presents a range of public programs related to current exhibitions, the permanent collection and special projects.

Lunchtime Talks are scheduled on Wednesdays, from 12:30-1:00pm. These brief, content-rich programs offer an ideal lunch-break change of pace. An AIHA Curator or Educator will lead an in-depth look at and discussion about one or two objects on display in a special exhibition or in the permanent collection.

Saturday afternoon gallery talks are led by volunteer docents.  Programs at 2:00pm look at one of the special exhibitions on display.  Programs at 3:00pm explore the AIHA permanent collections.

Lectures and Gallery Talks are also planned to complement each special exhibition.
Lectures are also planned in conjunction with Booksignings sponsored by the AIHA Museum Shop. From time to time, special programs, including films, performances, artists' demonstrations, hands-on activities and bus trips are also scheduled.

Please check the CALENDAR for current programming details.
