children’s art workshops at the Albany Institute. Classes frequently
incorporate gallery visits to instill both content and context to
lessons.

all about these fascinating masks and create your own mask with mixed
media and paint.

Canopic Jars
Learn how canopic jars were used by the ancient Egyptians during the
rituals of mummification. Design, mold, and form a jar using
hand-building techniques and clay.

Egyptian Hieroglyphics
Act like an Egyptian by using hieroglyphics to symbolize your name.
A $15 fee for members and $20 fee for nonmembers
covers the cost of materials and museum admission. Registration is
