Summer In The City Art Workshops
The Albany Institute of History & Art presents a series of six workshops
dedicated to creating art in the City of Albany. Instructors will lead
neighborhood walks to examine shape, color, pattern, texture,
architectural design and art exploration for this three-hour class.

Capital Architecture

Expand your drawing skills and learn
how to emphasize perspective in compositions. Use a variety of
media including pencil and charcoal to explore ways to convey
architectural drawings.

City Dwellers
- Create
interesting drawings and place emphasis on movement while
learning a variety of techniques and methods to render form and
motion.

Gardens & Parks
- In
this class, continue to learn the fundamentals of drawing.
Sharpen powers of observation and composition by using a variety
of media to translate what you see into drawings.

Concourse Perspective

Capture a true essence of horizon line and perspective in this
class that incorporates pencil, pastel and a great panoramic
view.
August 6
Statues and Surroundings
Attention to detail large and small is emphasized in this class.
Learn how to render light and shadow.

City Neighborhoods
Experience the versatility of watercolor by creating paintings that
emphasize color, light, and composition to complete and Albany
neighborhood.

Cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members (per workshop).
Drop-off program, for children ages 13 - 15. Registration is
