Fun for the whole family, with tours, art-making,
performances, puppet shows, and much more. All free with paid museum
admission.
February 14
Egyptian Family Festival—10:30 to 4:30 pm
Tour our Egyptian gallery, meet the mummies, see performances, and
join our drop-in art activities.
March 29
Hudson 400 Family Festival—1:00 to
4:00 pm
Celebrate the Hudson River’s birthday with docent-led tours of the
exhibit, Hudson River Panorama: 400 Years of History, Art, and
Culture; art-making activities in the Children’s Studio, and a
performance by folk balladeer Rich Bala,
who will perform tunes and tales illustrating the Hudson's many-faceted
role in forging our nation. Art-making activities in the Children’s
Studio will include Gyotaku fish prints, a Japanese art form that
teaches participants about fresh water fish by using realistic fish
replicas made of rubber, rolling the replica with block printing ink and
applying it to cloth and paper.
October 25
