Albany Institute

The Albany Institute of History & Art has an array of spaces available
to accommodate parties, meetings, seminars, performances, luncheons,
dinners, breakfasts, and virtually any type of event you are planning.
The Institute's distinctive and diverse architecture and interior design
provide for both intimate get-togethers and large gatherings in a
variety of historic and modern styles.
These
spaces include:

The Atrium: Our
three-story, 2,250 sq. ft. atrium is the centerpiece of our facility,
and offers an elegant, contemporary
setting for receptions. Linking the museum's historic buildings,
this spectacular glass enclosure is an architectural beacon on
Washington Avenue and reflects the renaissance of downtown Albany.

The Rice House: The
Beaux-Arts style Rice House, restored to its elegant 19th-century
splendor, is ideal for meetings, small receptions, or seated meals. On the National Register of Historic Places, the Rice House includes
original decorative fireplaces and a private terrace overlooking the
museum's green space, with views of the New York State
Capitol.

The Key Cultural Center:
The 1,600-sq.-ft. Key Cultural Center is one of the Capital
District's most technologically advanced meeting rooms. Located on
a private floor of the museum, this multi-functional space offers
amenities including a drop-down projection screen, high-speed Internet
access, built-in public address system, and variable lighting controls.
