Visitors may be asked to register their
vehicle at the Admissions Desk if using the Albany Institute’s parking lot.

All parcels, including handbags, brought
into the museum are subject to search.

Items larger than 11 inches X 15 inches
may not be taken into the galleries. They may be left at the
Admissions Desk or stored in a temporary locker (locker key may be
obtained at the Admissions Desk).

Umbrellas and backpacks are not allowed
in the galleries.

The Albany Institute is not responsible
for loss or damage to laptop computers, cameras, fur coats, and
other items of substantial value. Such items may be carried into the
galleries.

Children may not be carried on the
shoulders of another person or in a backpack child carrier.
Strollers are available free of charge near the coat room.

Food and beverages are not allowed in
the galleries.

Cell phones may not be used in the
galleries.

Photography for personal use is
prohibited in special exhibitions. Visitors may photograph objects
from the Albany Institute’s collections. Flash, other lighting, or
tripods are prohibited. Video cameras may be used only with prior
permission.
