This program is designed for people affected with early to mid-stage Alzheimer's and other memory loss with their care givers.
Looking at paintings, sculptures, and artifacts (virtually) may rekindle memories and emotions, are special social occasions, and lively outings for men and women who live with this disease.
We will use our collections to renew and build social connections in which all can participate and enjoy. It does not require a background in art, nor does it rely on memory.
We are currently booking programs through August, 2022. Program themes will center on the changing of the seasons! April through June programs will focus on the rejuvenation of nature in the springtime and feature vibrant paintings of flowers and landscape.
Programs are booked on a first come, first served basis. All groups who schedule an Art Connects session are also eligible to receive hands on art kits for up to 12 people. Contactless delivery for art kits will be discussed at time of booking.
To book a program, please contact Mallory Schultz, Education Coordinator by phone 518-463-4478 ext. 404 or email schultzm@albanyinstitute.org.

Hi Raphel, thank you for your interest in the art kits! Yes, you absolutely can order multiple sets. We ask that if someone would like to make a large order (such as 10 or more) for a whole class that they get in touch with our Director of Art Programs, Sarah Clowe directly so we can ensure we have enough prepared in stock.
