Comments:
This map shows the land holdings of the wealthy and influential Van Rensselaer family as they existed in 1767. Based on the original manuscript map owned by Stephen Van Rensselaer III, this mid-nineteenth-century copy, drawn by D. Vaughn and engraved and printed by G. E. Gavit, was inserted in volume 3 of The Documentary History of the State of New York (1850), by E. B. O'Callaghan.
