Signed in pencil on front: Augustus Pruyn. Inscribed in ink on reverse: First Manor House erected by Jeremias van Rensselaer 1658, taken down in 1839, was occupied by Casparus F. Pruyn, who was the last Agent of the entire manor. This photograph made from a pencil sketch of Major Francis Pruyn, made in 1839. Inscribed in pencil on reverse: "Watervliet"
