On Thursday, August 27, 2009, JoAnn N. Duquette wore this hat to the Ronald McDonald Saratoga Fashion Show at the Saratoga Race Course. The hat was created by Jodi Trapani of New York City. JoAnn Duquette first met Trapani in New York City on an Easter Sunday at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, quite by accident when she asked Trapani about the extraordinary hat she was wearing. Upon learning that Trapani was the designer, she asked her to make this hat to complement the peacock inspired dress she owned, designed by Nanette Lapore, and intended to wear to Saratoga.
