Shabti of Psamtik

This small shabti and another in the collection (2013.1.15) are inscribed on the back "Psamtik, son of "Psamtik." Small shabtis do not have the full shabti spell inscribed on them, only the title, the "Osiris," and sometimes the owner's profession (in this case, a priest). Psamtik I founded the 26th Dynasty, and his name became popular afterwards.
