Provenance: This stove was used at Brookside, located in Laurens, NY, which was built by Mr. Dean in 1816. Col. Snow was its second owner; in 1866 it was purchased by Mr. David Whipple. It remained in the family until about 1964. Whipple's grandddaughter said this stove had been in the barn since around 1890.
