Art Walk: June 4-18

We are excited to be continuing on our tradition with the City School District of Albany to host the 7th Annual CSDA Elementary Art Show. This year's exhibit will run from JUNE 4-18 2021 in a new art walk format.

To adapt to our current environment we are not only hosting the student artwork digitally here on our website but have also printed the student artwork on lawn signs and are holding an "ART WALK" display of the exhibit. The signs are located on the Albany Institute of History & Art's grounds and around the vicinity at various local businesses and organizations. Locations include but are not limited to: the Alacrity Frame Workshop, Congressman Paul Tonko’s Office, The Albany Public Library, The Daily Grind, Accumera, Center Square Barber Shop, and Keobi- Taste of Africa. A GOOGLE MAP of the art walk host sites can be found at the bottom of this webpage. Thank you to our partners for helping to host and celebrate the talent and hard work of the students!

Student artists and their families are invited to also visit the Albany Institute of History & Art's galleries and will receive coupon codes for free admission from their art teachers in their congratulatory letter. While we are accepting walk-ins, the museum is encouraging the use of timed ticketing to help monitor building numbers for COVID precautions.  More information can be found on the museum's Visit page.

The hosting of the CSDA Elementary Art show is supported through sponsorship from the Carl E. Touhey Foundation.
