April Art Break 2017 Shell Art

In this three day drop off program, children will have the opportunity to explore the Albany Institute’s galleries and create an array of art work inspired by our current exhibition, Wampum World.

In this three-day drop-off program students will be inspired by the current exhibition, Wampum World. We’ll observe the blend of history and artistic interpretation present and take a special focus on the images and uses of shells.  Watercolor techniques will be explored as we paint and draw our own shells in the studio.  Young artists will also complete beaded designs, mosaics, and collages.

Tuition includes materials and museum admission.
