Drop-In Art Making

Enjoy making art at the museum this Museum Day!

Create your own artwork inspired by the Romancing the Rails: Train Travel in the 1920s and 1930s exhibition. Art making will be offered from 10AM-4:30PM. All ages are welcome to participate! Drop-In Art Making is included with museum admission.

Did you know? September 18 is Museum Day! Check out Smithsonian Magazine Museum Day website for details about how you can get free admission tickets to the Albany Institute for Museum Day.

More Drop-In Art Making Opportunities

Enjoy your visit to the museum and create an art activity inspired by the exhibitions and collections. Drop-In Art Making activities are offered on the second Saturday of each month, as well as on special occasions such as Federal holidays.

We're looking forward to being creative this fall! Weather permitting, our hands-on art programs will take place outside on the museum grounds. Our alternate indoor location- a large multi-purpose room- also provides ample space to spread out, socially distance, and be creative.

Art for All activities are offered to all museum visitors and are included with museum admission.

Art for All is sponsored in part by Stewart's Shops and the Sonneborn Family
