Abraham Lincoln’s funeral train journeyed from Washington D.C. to Springfield, Illinois. On April 26, 1865, the train stopped in Albany and his body lay in state; 50,000 people filed past to pay their respects. Lehman will explore these solemn events and their connection to the New York State Capitol.
