William D. Simcoe, P.E., deputy commissioner, water and water supply, City of Albany

A discussion of the beautiful lake in Washington Park (created in the 1870s) flows into many fascinating historical facts and current issues in the city's water supply.

This presentation maps the history of development along Beaver Creek, the growth of the combined sewer system, and the current plans to mitigate flooding and sewer overflows using aspiration, green infrastructure, and Washington Park Lake.
