Gallery Talks led by Albany Institute Staff, Docents, and Guests
The mummy and coffin of Ankhefenmut was one of 200 coffins, nearly a hundred papyri, 110 boxes containing shabtis, 80 statuettes and burial goods discovered in the “Bab el-Gasus” tomb in 1891 beneath the first courtyard of the temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahri.
Join us for this relay-style, gallery talk marathon on the 125th anniversary of the opening of the tomb to learn more about ancient Egyptian priests and priestesses, coffins, and burial rituals.
