Local author Hudson Talbott will discuss his most recent work Picturing America: Thomas Cole and the Birth of American Art. The book brings to children (ages 7 and up) the life of Thomas Cole, who founded America’s first major art movement, the Hudson River School. Original illustrations for the book will also be on view.
Hudson Talbott is a resident of the Hudson Valley and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Thomas Cole National Historic Site in Catskill, NY. He has written and/or illustrated more than 25 books.
