Dahl Taylor, artist

One of the primary aims of illustration is to help and enhance the written word.

In a “How It’s Done” talk, Taylor will describe the process of building an image to tell as much of a story’s narrative, mood, and detail as possible. He will also discuss the ways that a project can come to an illustrator as well as the various stages of the direction and approval process.

Included with museum admission*

Taylor's work is currently featured in the exhibition Paintings of Addy®: Dahl Taylor's Original Illustrations for American Girl, now through June 17, 2018.
