Family Yoga & Playful Movement with KaliLuna Healing by Vanessa Bilanceri
10–10:45AM | Museum Lawn (weather dependent)
We will celebrate freedom through movement, laughter, and connection between parents/caregivers and children ages 3–10. Please bring a towel (or yoga mat if you have one) for each person. Wear comfy clothes that you can easily move around in. The program is first-come, first-serve. Come prepared to be silly and have fun with your kids! This session is taught in partnership with KaliLuna Healing by certified yoga instructor Vanessa Bilanceri. Vanessa has practiced yoga with adults, teens, children and even babies, for nearly 20 years. She enjoys using breath, mindfulness, movement, and play to connect families.

Live performance by the Arch Stanton Quartet
1PM | Hudson River School Gallery
Join the Arch Stanton Quartet for the finale performance of ‘Exploring the Sheltering Sky’: The Music and Words of Paul Bowles. Longtime fixtures of the Capital Region jazz scene, ASQ performs original jazz that is experimental, yet rooted in bop and post-bop traditions. The band’s debut album, Along For The Ride, was released in November 2012 on WEPA Records. In March 2013, ASQ embarked on an exploration of its own in North Africa. The band’s jazz-diplomacy tour of Egypt included performances and workshops sponsored by the educational organization AMIDEAST, the U.S. Embassy Cairo, and the Center for American Studies at the American University in Cairo. That experience inspired a second album of original compositions, Blues For Soli, and its “Lady Egypt” suite, also released on WEPA Records.
Docent Tour
2PM | Meet at the Admission Desk
Join docents at 2PM for a tour of Blanche Lazzell: Becoming an American Modernist and A Life in Bloom: The Floral Paintings of Julia McEntee Dillon. Docent tours are an excellent way to learn more about the artworks and objects on display, in addition to the stories they tell. Interaction and questions are encouraged, and visitors of all ages are welcome.
