GALLERY TALK | Women on View

For Women’s History Month, join us for a series of tours highlighting the women of the Albany Institute.  We will discuss the stories surrounding certain garments in our outerwear exhibit entitled “It’s a Wrap: 200 Years of Outerwear”, as well as female artists of the Hudson River School. We will delve into the adventurous women who disregarded gender barriers to paint outdoors along the Hudson in the 19th century. Juxtaposing these women with their male contemporaries, we aim to acknowledge their distinct contributions to the American landscape tradition.
