Friday, December 4, 3:30PM-5:00PM
$15 non-members; $10 members
Recommended ages 8 and above

Join us as we admire the jewelry and symbols from ancient Egypt including examples from the museum’s own ancient Egyptian displays. We’ll create our own versions of scarab heart amulets, and other wearables inspired by artifacts while using everyday household materials. This workshop fulfills many of the requirements for the Junior Jewelry Girl Scout badge.  A supply list will be provided with household materials to be used. Space is limited and registration is required.

Supply list: ½ cup flour, ¼ cup salt, ¼ cup water, food coloring, tin foil, lightweight cardboard such as a recycled cereal or snack box or poster board, string, scissors, glue, toothpick, and a permanent marker

(Gluten-free? We've heard that gluten-free varieties of flour also will work for our planned salt dough)
