The Albany Institute of History & Art is supported in part by the generosity of museum members and donors. Throughout the year, the Albany Institute hosts fundraising events including our Museum Gala, For the Museum, At the Museum, is held annually in June. Our signature Work of Art is held in November. 10:00am–5:00pm Come to the Albany Institute this Thanksgiving weekend for a variety of holiday themed programs and events. We'll be decked out in winter wonder and ready to welcome you and your out-of-town guests! Come explore our galleries, shop for handmade crafts by area artisans, enjoy community decorations and even live reindeer! Click link to learn more...

5:30pm–7:30pm Join us for the advance release party for a classic book that has been updated with new research and stunning photography and get your copy before they hit stores! Join us for special remarks and light refreshments to help celebrate the publication of this new edition.

6:00pm–8:00pm Join us for the inaugural Spirit of the Valley event and sample the Hudson Valley's boutique distillery movement!

2:00pm–3:30pm Our special guest is John Thorn, Official Baseball Historian for Major League Baseball! Tickets to this event are $10 per person and may be purchased online. Online pre-registration ends Friday, 2/6/15. After this date tickets may be purchased in person at the museum front desk.
