2011 Exhibition by Artists of the Mohawk-Hudson Region

July 9, 2011–September 4, 2011

Since its debut at the Albany Institute in 1936, the Mohawk-Hudson Regional has become one of the longest-running regional art exhibitions in the country. Highlighting the work of artists working within a 100-mile radius of the Capital District and Glens Falls, the annual juried exhibition rotates among the Albany Institute, the University Art Museum at the University at Albany, and the Hyde Collection. The Regional has become a barometer of contemporary art as well as a means of support for emerging and established arts in our community. This year’s juror is Holly Hughes, artist and Professor of Painting at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, Rhode Island.

Major funding for the exhibition has been provided by:
Lois and David Swawite in honor of Christine M. Miles
The Nancy Hyatt Liddle Fund for the Arts, The Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region
