The Albany Institute of History & Art's mission is to connect diverse audiences to the art, history, and culture of the upper Hudson Valley through its collections, exhibitions, and programs.

Each year, the Albany Institute serves thousands of students with education programs, hosts numerous lectures and community events, welcomes researchers into the library, and curates special exhibitions.

Your donation to the Albany Institute of History & Art will help us to maintain our collection, to conduct research, and connect to thousands of visitors, from seniors to school groups.

Ways to Support the Museum

Thank you for your interest in the Albany Institute of History & Art! Here are some ways you can support the museum:

  • Join the Gala Honorary Committee as a Benefactor ($500), Patron ($350), or at the Junior ($300 for age 40 & under) level and celebrate with us on Friday, June 2nd!  You can make your donation below, or learn more about the Gala by clicking here
  • Purchase a museum membership | Join as a member or purchase a gift membership
  • Shop for gifts in our Museum Shop | The Museum Shop is open Wednesday-Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 12-5pm. There is no charge to visit the Shop. Museum members enjoy 10% their purchases (some exclusions apply).

  • Visit the museum (remember to pick up your complimentary Art to Go project that is included with admission)
