This iconic Art Deco image of train travel in American was created by graphic artist Leslie Ragan for the New York Central Railroad.  Designed by Henry Dreyfuss and renowned for its speed and elegance, the 20th Century Limited was the most celebrated passenger train in America in the twentieth century.  From 1902 until 1967, it transported passengers along the water level route from New York City to Chicago.
