PAINTINGS & SCULPTURE
The Albany Institute's painting collection includes portraits, landscapes, still lifes, genre scenes, architectural renderings and abstractions ranging from the 18th century to the present. 

Highlights include over 40 examples of early 18th century Hudson Valley portraits and scripture paintings, work by Ezra Ames (1783-1836), Hudson River School landscapes, works by Walter Launt Palmer (1854-1932), folk art and contemporary regional art.

Highlights of the sculpture collection include the largest repository of works by Erastus Dow Palmer and a large body of work by Charles Calverley.
