Welcome to Museum Makers!

MARCH 2020

Dear Friends,

Thank you for being a part of our museum community and for your interest in our arts and family programming.  As you may have heard in accordance to CDC recommendations to contain the transmission of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) the Albany Institute of History & Art is currently closed.  We will continue to follow this evolving situation and adapt our programming accordingly.

We are aware that this is a unique situation especially for families who now have children learning at home and are distanced from the typical community network.  We would like to stay in touch and offer digital and remote resources to families as you navigate these new waters.  For starters, we're offering our museum collection coloring sheets as a free download for you to print and  use at home.  We hope your young artists enjoy putting a new spin on our museum collections: Color Our Collections.

We are looking into new ways to collaborate with you in these unusual times and look forward to creatively connecting.  I will be updating this blog section with art activities that can be completed at home in hopes that you will still create along with us during this time.

We wish you and your family good health, and to be able to see you at the museum again in the near future.
Sincerely,

Sarah Clowe
Director of Art Programs
